night stand

a year ago, i bought a 'dingy with beautiful possibilities' night stand at the GW.

where else can you find bargains like this for four dollars and ninetyfive cents minus a percentage off?

anyone else love the GW?!

 the door refused to close which Hubs fixed,

she was banged up but she sure had lovely bones with equally lovely hardware.

she is gorgeous in her new color!

to the no-reply comment question on how the CHIFFONIER was finished.

it was sanded, cleaned, primed (kilz is a GOOD primer!) and painted with Gentle Rain by Behr.

after it was dry, an electric sander and hand sanding was used to rough it up and finished with 

Minwax Paste Finishing Wax.

yes...today is our anniversary...forty-two years!

- as we were -

- as we are -

fortytwo years together and in love!

i am constantly amazed at God's grace...

we weren't always in love during this time -

because for a time we had lost the way;

but God's  goodness brought us back together again!

we are older and wiser from life's school of training that included a lot of pain,

 a lot of i'm sorry's,

a lot of forgiving,

and a lot of giving and receiving of grace for and to each other!

 Honey, I love you!
