Autumn Mantel

Our autumn mantel.
Simple.
Organic.
Lovely!
Recent painted picture frames.
Pears picked up at a local thrift shop.
Grasses from the field behind us.
White pitcher a yard sale find that was stuck in a box.
(I love simplicity!)

I love that flash of 'orange' in those golden pears!
I chuckled at organic- to describe your mantel. Never thought of it really. But I like it.
I may use it...but somehow, I don't think organic has quite the same poetic tone when describing 'dust'...;) Pat

I have been wanting to do this exact same thing: stacking on mantle on top of another, painting them both white, etc.

I also have quite a collection of frames and now I know what to do w/some of them.

This is a beautiful and simple example of quiet luxury. Thanks for sharing. Very inspiring.

like it and its you also. as for the original blog about the mantel, i thought it should have something on the mantel just not those greens that you had there. ginney
