week end musings

we spent our annual week end with our 'sixty-niner' friends in central Pa.

we do a lot of 'walking down memory lane' reminiscing -
i mean...
after fortyone years of 'together' memories -
why not?!
lots of talking, food, laughter,
with a few tears thrown in the mix...
GOOD STUFF!
HEALING!
after all, that's what forty some years friends do for each other...

most of the leaves were down.

we spent an hour Sunday morning looking into the 'questioning why' book...
- Job -
the man who lost so much -
who questioned God...
until God questioned him,
...and Job was left speechless.
in the end, God blessed him with double blessings.
AMAZING!

is asking 'why' wrong?
no!
but it's not a place to linger...
it keeps us stuck in a not-so-good place -
and a place of stuck-ness is not where i want to be!
GRACE...
GOD'S GRACE!
