Mr D had a quiet and peaceful Homecoming on Tuesday evening, July 16. God gave me the gift of seeing him draw his last two breaths. As a family, we were incredibly blessed with church, friends and a community of believers supporting us through this time. A thank you seems so mundane but we truly are grateful from the bottom of our hearts for your support - God bless you all!
My nephew sent this song to me via face book and I re posted it to my Fleur Cottage page where it can be accessed by clicking on the right side of this blog. I hope you'll take the time to listen to it...it describes Mr D's passing perfectly.

There are many changes coming into my life...changes that Mr D and I have decided together. I will be taking several months break from posting but plan on being back in October.
Thank you for walking along side of us in our two plus year journey!

Oh dear Esther,
I am so truly sorry! I am crying at your loss.
Oh, honey...........please know you are in my prayers as you deal with this pain and with changes ahead.
Know you shall be missed, and come back when you are good and ready.
Until then may your Faith sustain and heal you.
Hugs and ♥,
Michele
I have been so inspired by your courage and faith Esther as you and your husband walked through this valley in your lives. You will remain in my prayers in the coming weeks and months for strength and guidance from the Father. What a comfort to know you have made life changing decisions together!! Thank you for sharing in such a personal and intimate way the trial of having to say goodby and I will see you later to your best friend on this earth. It is something we will all face in this life and you have done it so well. Blessings always, Linda

Not an easy post to write...not ever an easy post to read. I know you are Trusting the LORD as you, breathe in every single blessing and every single memory; while exhaling those times you miss Mr. D. longing for the time when you will walk together again.
The Grace of the LORD Jesus be with your spirit.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your dear friend and husband. I went to your blog and then to your facebook site the day after his passing on to glory! I cried for you, but I was also feel reassured because you will see him again in heaven! I totally understand you needing time off of your blog. May the Lord's Holy Spirit comfort you at this time. Psalm 121:1-8
Dear Esther, May God bless you in the days to come, just as He has in the days past. May He fill you with peace, joy and love, for Him and others. My heart is greatly touched by reading your blog over the last years, only He can fill you with the peace and strength that I've read here.
Hugs, Cindy
Bless you, Esther and I look forward to following you in October.
