Bling from the Goodwill

Take one potential find purchased at a GW...

add lovely sheet music from thrift shops...

and bring them together!

o-o-h-la-la!

• gave her a coat of primer/paint before my i-love-sheet-music days
• discovered it's easier to tear the sheet music in one to two inch wide strips
• saved the best for last and used the song title of the sheet music as a focal point
• then tucked the writer's name below it...too cute!
• (did I say I love sheet music?!)

The lovely cameo puts a nice finish around her neck.

Right now she sits on a recycled lamp-pedestal-treated-with-my-favorite-treatment,

because the wooden pillar is too tall for the top of a the LINEN CUPBOARD.

but I know I'll find another one at GW if Iwait long enough! 

GW had about a dozen of these...now I wonder why I didn't buy them all?! :)

Bathroom Touch-up

The bead board in the bathroom needed a fresh coat of paint

and I 'fixed' a few much-needed small repairs.
Now let me tell you...
I can paint little things like four foot bead board walls,
(my sis-ta's are GOOD at that but not me...nope - i missed out when paintingthewall jobwas handed out!)

but i'm not a painter of  walls and ceiling (i'm too sloppy!),

 but Mr D is patient and does it right!

When the bathroom was rennovated, the wrong caulking was used and it looked like this...

and no matter how many times i primed & painted, it would seep through.

So annoying!

Then I got the bright idea to spackle over it and it worked!

Oh glory!

There was this...

and this.

Now there's this...

and this.

I used the same caulking method.

Do I love success?!

And the radiator?

Oh my!

(need i say more than that this is beside the loo?! don't think so!)

Oh-la!

It's almost beautiful!

I even painted the outlet covers...

and switched lamp shades.

Oh yeah!

(it REALLY doesn't take much to make me happy!)

I took away...

to simplify.

Now i'm working on this project...
